Support Project HolidayS

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula is thrilled to launch Project Holidays! Families in our community are facing unprecedented challenges. We are serving more students than ever before, and your support this winter will support students across the Peninsula at a time when many of our students need it most.

Academics
Nearly 25% of first-generation college students don't continue past their first year of college. For many of these students, winter break is an inflection point when they decide not to return to school for their second semester. BGCP's Future Grads program supports students during this critical time through regular check-ins and community building events that encourage students to continue their postsecondary journeys.

Mental Health
Winter break can be a difficult time for many of our students. Holiday stress, family dynamics, changes in routine, and being disconnected from friends can pose challenges to our students' mental health and wellbeing. To address these issues, students can continue to access support from BGCP's in-house team of mental health clincians.

Looking for opportunities for you or your entire family to volunteer in-person during the holiday season? We have a number of volunteer opportunities available and would love for you to join us!

Getting more involved as a #TeamBGCP Volunteer

If your family would like to get more involved this holiday season with Thanksgiving meals at our clubhouses, Second Harvest Grocery Distribution, Fun Fridays, or Breakfast with Santa celebrations, please email Emily Mungul, Senior Director of Community Engagement, at emungul@bgcp.org.

We believe the highest impact BGCP can deliver for our students this holiday season is allowing expanded access to our programming. We will be connecting our families with the following community partners to receive gifts for their families:
