BGCP has a variety of volunteer opportunities available this holiday season to bring cheer to our students and their families. Children are welcome to volunteer at many of these activities. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Senior Director of Community Engagement Emily Mungul.


Volunteer with Programs

Are you interested in working alongside our incredible staff to help run fun, engaging and impactful programming? Can you commit even a few hours a week? We’re looking for volunteers to work with our students in the following areas:

  • Group Homework Help

  • 1-1 or Small Group Academic Subject Tutoring

  • Art Enrichment Support

  • Computer Science, Engineering and other STEM Enrichment Support

  • Literacy/Reading

How to Get Involved

  2. After applying, you will create an account on http://bgcp.volunteerhub.com where you will complete and upload your compliance requirements.

    Please note: Per BGCA and BGCP guidelines, volunteers must complete yearly compliance requirements to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. These include a Live Scan, mandated reporter and sexual-harassment training, a valid TB test, and proof of COVID vaccination.

  3. We will share our volunteer handbook and meet with you to select a site and schedule.

Group and Corporate Volunteering

Looking for fun, team-bonding, in-person way to serve the community together as a team? Consider signing your group up for a Volunteer Takeover, where your company, team, or group reserves an afternoon of volunteering for our Grocery Distribution, career exploration opportunities or a special, on-site event with students. See below for the steps to get your team signed up!

  1. Contact Emily Mungul, emungul@bgcp.org, to identify a day you would like to reserve.

    Grocery Distribution takes place on certain days each month from 4:15-7:00 P.M.

  2. We will create a landing page for your volunteer group on our volunteer portal.

  3. You can share the link to your group to populate the volunteer roles for your chosen day.

  4. Each volunteer will receive a confirmation email and an event reminder. The email(s) will include parking information, sign-in details, and health and safety procedures.

  5. We have a BLAST making impact!
