CORPORATE PARTNER PROGRAM
Investing in our local youth is a key to maintaining the vibrant and diverse business community of Silicon Valley and making this a great place to live and work. The Corporate Partner Program is for corporations that want to establish mutually beneficial partnerships with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula. Partnering Activities
Financial or In-kind Support
- Donate funds for the Club's general operations.
- Sponsor a specific program (e.g., academics, athletics, art, teens, College Bound, technology, etc.).
- Sponsor one of the Club's annual events.
- Support the Club with pro-bono or discounted services in your core business area (e.g., IT services and equipment, legal advice, marketing, facilities, audit, etc.).
- Donate equipment (e.g., art supplies, athletic supplies, used furniture, field trip tickets, etc.).
Volunteering
- Support employees volunteering at Club sites in East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Redwood City in the evenings, after work, and on Saturdays mentoring, tutoring or sharing a talent.
- Schedule a visit with the Club Volunteer Director to tailor volunteer opportunities to fit your company. We would carefully set and manage expectations.
Career Exposure for Teens
- Host a visit of 5 to 20 Club teens to your office to learn about careers. Teens could meet with various employees from engineering, legal, facilities, secretarial, sales and/or marketing. This could include a group lunch in your office following for discussion and questions.
- Provide an internship for a Club teen during the summer or school year.
Employee Morale Building
- Perform a day of community service at Club (e.g., read to kids, paint hallways, talk about careers, host a Friday night teen dinner, etc.).
- Host a visit by the Club's Executive Director and youth to meet with your employees to share the needs that the Club is meeting and how your partnership is making a real difference.
- Have employees visit the Club any afternoon/evening to see programs in action.
- Post signage in your office in recognition of impact of partnership.
- Use clubhouse for team building exercise or corporate event.
Key Annual Events
Be a Kid for a Night (dinner event) is the Club's signature fundraising event held in May to increase awareness of the needs the Club is meeting. Over 300 individual and corporate guests come to play and participate in a range of games and activities, from academics to athletics, with Club members as guides. After a kid-favorite dinner, the evening culminates with youth entertainment and a Fund-A-Need appeal.

- Where: Moldaw Zaffaroni Clubhouse, East Palo Alto, CA
- Who: 300 individual and corporate donors as well as VIP community members
Girls' Day brings together over 70 professional women in the community with 70 of our young female members to inspire them in believing who they can become when they grow up. Each grown-up mentor spends time learning about her young partner's hopes and dreams while sharing her own accomplishments. The young ladies and mentors participate in various activities around self esteem, goal setting, sisterhood, leadership and careers. The luncheon program includes inspiring talks by community leaders.

- Where: Mervin G. Morris Clubhouse, Redwood City, CA
- Who: 70+ professional women from various fields
Youth of the Year is the Club's celebration of its outstanding teen members. After a rigorous application process where members write essays, interview with prestigious judges and give speeches, winners are selected for each clubhouse and for the Club overall. The Club Youth of the Year advances to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America national competition.

- Who: Over 300 invited guests, community leaders, and media
Great Night is the Club's primary appreciation event for major donors. This evening cocktail reception conveys the impact the Club is having by sharing memorable moments and stories. Over 150 attendees hear how their philanthropic support makes a difference in our community.
- When: Weeknight in October
- Where: Menlo Circus Club or similar venue
- Who: Over 150 donors who contribute $500 or more
Partnership Levels
Sponsor a Table ($3,000)
- A great way to get involved and learn more about the Club is by sponsoring a table at Be a Kid for a Night.
- A table sponsor receives a table for 10 guests which can be filled with Company employees and guests or returned for club use.
- Each table is marked with company signage recognizing your company.
Be an Event Sponsor ($10,000)
- Table for 10 guests and Company signage if Be a Kid for a Night event is sponsored.
- Company Logo will appear on event invitation and event signage.
- Company will be acknowledged during the event program.
Community Leaders Circle ($25,000 and/or 250 volunteer hours)
- Select recognition opportunities, including joint press relations and marketing efforts highlighting partnership's impact.
- Recognition and signage at all Club and special events and on web site and publications.
- Invitations to stewardship events.
- Table for ten guests at Be a Kid for a Night.
Platinum Partner ($50,000 and Higher)
- Benefits of the Community Leaders Circle.
- The Boys and Girls Club will customize a program could include such things as the named sponsor for an entire event, a clubhouse room featuring company logo, or initiating a new club activity (e.g. the Intel Computer Club House).
